guido mieth

mieth is a contemporary german photographer that seems to excess in many aesthetic styles and cover a wide range of concepts. i originally intended to select his work for the photo pick, but his work needs to be viewed at a much larger scale. they are quite eerie, yet gorgeous... but either way, there is something wrong with these pictures.

a whimsical approach, perhaps...

i am growing a bit tired of the control i assume in my work. i would like to see it ease up and take on a greater sense of the everyday or sublime.

dionisio ganzalez

gonzolaz first appeared on my radar when the mocp included him in a landscape exhibition last year. although he constructs his landscapes to a digital extreme, his work resonates with my own and i am partial to the social/ political nuances it suggests. gonzalez not only manipulates the san paulo landscape photographically, but has also proposed to construct actual buildings in the favalas based on his images.
